Learn what the different cables are (it will make everything earlier)
NEVER be afraid to ask questions (how will you learn if you never ask)
Google is your best friend when it comes to something you don’t know (Jeremy will ask if you have looked it up)
Everything you need will be in the back room in the tech office or the work room across the hall
Always make sure you have a key or key card. People aren’t always in the front office to let you in over the summer.
ask Jeremy, Amanda, or Jose for something to do. One of them will have something
if you don't have anything to do CLEAN. Everyone loves a clean office and work space

New shipment- we will be receiving a bunch of new devices this summer. Once a shipment comes in let Jeremy know, and ask him what he wants you to do with it. Most of the time he will have you take care of it.
Take the boxes to the other room with all the stuff.
Open them and be careful taking them out
Count to make sure all the devices are there and tell Jeremy
Break down the box (cut all the tape and fold them up)
Put the boxes in recycling (it is not the custodians job to clean up after us)
Jeremy is picky about that
Ask anyone in the tech office to make a new folder for the devices in Destiny
Put barcodes on the device and add them to Destiny
Catalog> resource search> computers> whatever type of device it is> the new folder> add item
Teacher desk setup- teachers can pick and choose what they want on their desk but the setup is still the same:

- HDMI cable (connects from Totu to the wall)
- keyboard
- mouse
- Display to USB-C cable
- Totu (silver box everything connects to) and power cable
- Printer (power cable)
