Enabling Handlers - Step by Step for Teachers Print

To check to see if handlers are enabled properly:

1. Click on the "meatball" menu in the top right of the webpage (in Google Chrome)

2. Click Settings

3. Click Privacy and Security from the left menu

4. Click Site settings from the middle menu

5. Scroll down and click Additional Permissions

6. Click Protocol Handlers

7. Under "email", mail.google.com should appear, if it does NOT appear, follow the steps below

To enable protocol handlers:

1. Open up a new tab and in the URL type in gmail.com

2. On the right side of the URL bar is an Icon that looks somewhat like an eye (screenshot attached)

3. Click on that icon and a menu will appear (screenshot attached)

4. Click "Allow"

This will enable your Gmail to populate when you attempt to email from Veracross.
