IP Address

  • If the printer does not have a touchscreen pad, press and hold the Cancel button until it begins printing.
  • The IP address should be on one of the papers.
  • Use the IP address to setup the printer on a mac:
    • Printers & Scanners 
    • Click the button
    • Click IP 
    • Enter the IP address and name the printer
    • Click Add
  • The computer will set up the printer

Wirelessly

  • Connect the printer to the computer using a USB printer cable
  • On a mac, open Printers & Scanners
  • Click on the printer that is recognized by the cord
  • Follow these steps:
    • Options and Supplies
    • Utility
    • Open Print Utility
    • Click HTML Config in the lower left corner
    • This will open a web page where you can change the network status of the printer. 
    • Click the Networking tab, and then click Wireless in the left pane.
    • Click 802.11b/g/n Wireless, and then select Enabled from the pop-up menu.
    • Double-click the correct network name to add it to the Current Network Name field, enter the network password, and then click Apply.

    • Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer.

    • In the Printers & Scanners, Print & Scan, or Print & Fax window, click the name of your printer, click the minus sign , and then delete the USB-installed printer.

    • Click the plus sign , and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

    • Click the name of your printer with Bonjour as the kind, click the Use or Print Using box, and then select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu.

    • Click Add to add the printer to the list. Look for the printer in the Default list.
